With the new iPhone 6 and iPad, Apple includes an NFC chip. This is a first. The technology is used for Apple Pay, the payment service without contacting Apple launched last week in the United States. This is the moment this scenario, but it may change over time.
According to The Information, Apple is in talks with several groups to extend the use of NFC beyond Apple Pay. The idea would be to have an iPhone that takes care of everything, almost. HID Global and Cubic are two companies with which Apple argues, they offer access cards to enter buildings for example, or be used as a transport on the bus. The idea is to get rid of these cards for the same services with its iPhone, everything would be together in one place. The user would only have to present his iPhone near the player, use its mark to confirm its identity and it's over.
