Apple has proposed the first beta of iOS 8.1.1. As it is a x.x.1 version, we can expect mostly fixes and not new. The changelog provided by Apple cites a few. The company specifies that the performance and stability are better on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2.
A beta release for x.x.1 is astonishing. Apple offers the usually directly download to the public. We can also expect a public availability close enough. This type of application under test versions since the changes from the previous version are less important than those of x.1 version to version of x.2 for example.
Not surprisingly, all iPhone, iPad and iPod compatible with iOS 8 will be able to pass on iOS 8.1.1. Developers can download the beta version on the Dev Center where all the links are grouped together.
As a reminder, iOS 8 arrived on 17 September. iOS 8.1 followed on October 20 including Apple Pay in the United States and support for adding features OS X Yosemite (calls and SMS from your Mac, and AirDrop Instant Hotspot).
