Apple A8 processor of the iPhone 6 is revealed
As always, Apple has said very little (too little) things about the new A8 processor that equips the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. But thanks to some benchmarks, we finally know a little about the successor to the A7, manufactured by TSMC and Samsung.
It would appear that the A8 processor is faster than the A7 25% and consumes 50% less energy. Already, it is engraved in 20nm (28nm vs the previous generation), a fine engraving which plays a very important role. Then it's still a 64-bit dual core but clocked at 1.4GHz with two cores and a Cyclone M8 coprocessor, which is responsible in particular for the management of sensors. He is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR Series 6 GPU Imagination, the PowerVF GX6650 offers 192 cores (such as NVidia Tegra K1).
